Chat color plugin idea

Commands-
/color - Default command, returns a syntax error
/color help - Displays help for plugin
/color <R>,<G>,<B> - Sets user's color
/help - Prints the default help message on top of /help
/help 1 - Prints the default help message on top of /help 1





Overview
This plugin will allow your users to chat in any color that is found in the RGB scale (0-255.)

How To Install
Installing is super simple:
Step 1:
Download the plugin here.

Step 2:
Drop it into your /ServerPlugins/ Folder

Step 3:
Restart your server and let the config generate (or use the default one instead)

Step 4:
Close server (or wait for it to crash if generating config )

Step 5:
Edit settings found in /ServerPlugins/colors/config.cfg

Step 6:
Save Settings and restart server

Step 7:
?????

Step 8:
You've successfully installed the plugin. If not please go to step 1 and try again.

How To Configure

Step 1:
Edit with your favorite text editor

Step 2:
Format is
host,username,password,database,table

Step 3:
Example Config
localhost,root,,terraria,colors

Step 4:
Run this query to create the table

Is this only for Erik's Server, or for just anyone's server? Because I would assume Erik knows how to install plugins.

May i add This should be a feature for donaters+ Like one of the features you could get if you donate Because Till this day Donaters only get same as vip/Builders get

Personally, I like distinction of rankings by color. It has a sort of... official? feel to it. To me, white is always [Citizen], pale yellow is always [Active Citizen], blue is always [Builder], ect. Mixing up colors just doesn't seem right, although I do agree that higher ranks (maybe Mods and above) should get this command.

I feel the exact same way.
Everyone shouldn't get their hopes up on this plugin though.

I don't see the use of this anyway lol. You can just change it in the database and do /reload and reauthenticate then done.

Its a quick way to change colors without restarting the server.

I don't think you can without a plugin.. would you explain how you do it?

I just told you lol. Go edit the database, change the color of a rank, press OK or Apply for everything, on the server do the command /reload, reauthenticate, or do /login again or put them in the group again, and you are done. You can ask NoneStar and Yitan I did it in-game in my server. My server is a test so I won't advertise it either way.

I have tried this, along with the reload command. No matter what, I still need to restart the server in order for the server to apply changes to chat color.
