when someone is demoted fro inactivity and such if they come back can they just ask for there rank back? or do they have to ask for assistant then the next and next? :I

Cirul from Assistant to normal player due to inactivity.

I guess it depends on the situtation, if someone were good at their job maybe I would grant them the rank back.
But in all cases, this has not happened.

Players must rank up from Accessory and so on.

I do not pay attention to ranks under that though, so don't worry if you are not staff.

People who are VIP and under are not staff, so they don't really have to worry about rolling back griefs and trying to catch griefers, which is the Staff's job. VIP and under are basically normal people who join the server and have fun, while the Staff tries to prevent anything bad happening like griefing, hacking, or annoyance with spamming and caps. So there is no reason for VIP and under to get demoted because of inactivity, while if Staff is inactive, they aren't really doing anything much because they are busy doing other stuff, so they get demoted if they are inactive very long.

Also, Erik has told some ex-staff that they have to work back up to get their rank back. They can also reserve their rank bye saying goodbye in the "Introductions & Goodbyes" section so they know if they are coming back. If they aren't coming back, surely they are going to be demoted.

But it will all depend on different situations.

e.g. your computer broke, that is a perfectly fine excuse to take time off.
