New Spawns.

As almost everyone knows, I like to switch up the map every first of the month since it gets filled up very quickly. Shown by the server map button I have at the top of the forum.
And because of this, it arises a challenge of creating a new spawn every month that reflects creativity, showing other new players that the server should also look very unique & designed, just like the spawn!

Unfortunately I'm finding my self getting busier and busier over the holidays and from school, so I thought I'd give you guys a chance to get your creation in spawn!

If you'd like to enter a building, build your structure in-game on the ETS server, or in your own single player, then a photo and put it in the reply in the thread! If I like it enough (I have very very high expectations, refer to November's map for best ideas, or look at this thread), I'll ask you to upload the map onto a file host and I can paste it in for next months spawn!

After this months spawn is chosen, if at all. Players may still continue to create new threads with similar thread names such as "New spawn by Player!"

How do we enter them for spawn do we permission and do it on the server or do we do it on one of our worlds then send it to you through donload the you implement in? also can we put a sign saying we made it? i'd really want to make one but i wana know how first

If you thoroughly read the post, it will explain those questions.
And yes, there will be a sign giving map credit to the creator.

If players would like to enter their own idea for another spawn again please don't hesitate!

Players can do it on their own or in groups!
(Also you can do it online or offline, does not matter!)

I would prefer it if the theme was for valentines day.

I have a spawn, yet it seems too awfully big xD . It's like a... huge mansion... of some sort... It took a day to make before I ever heard of this thread xD . Too bad it isn't a valentine's day theme :/ . I'll try to make a heart for a wall .

I only have a heart on a wall that can barely be noticed on my spawn... it'll take forever to reshape all the rectangles to hearts xD .

Is there any size the spawn has to be? My best buildings are sometimes on the small side.

Any material.
Any block.

Erik, you're incorrect the spawn has to at least feature a 2 by 3 empty space for players to actually spawn in
i would also suggest not building it out of hellstone cuz molten feet are kinda painfull :l

If youre making a heart, use red brick and red brick wall along with otger walls and other walls lol plain isn't a bad thing ;D

This is true but there's a little thing called obsidian skull/sheild and who would make a 2 by 3 spawn anyway ? why would it be accepted?

but a obsidian skull or obsidian horshoe (which is better) should be belonging you standard equipment

you need atleast a room to spawn like on the most servers

It would probably be better to place everything how you would intend for it to be, as the creator of the project.

Final decision is February 1st everyone!

Have we made our decisions yet? Or should I say, Erik did you make your decision yet? We have about 1 - 3 days left before the map disappears and replaced with a new fresh map. I can't wait because I really want to build something awesome in it!

Unfortunately, my spawn building might not make it in time for the deadline (50/50 chance)- I have a notoriously slow building rate. Will there be a contest for the March spawn?

Yes, every new month, there will be a new spawn, so when the new map comes out, make sure to build a new spawn idea right away.
