Just repeating this, in case this was ignored:

Representing Ryst here, I'm proud to tell the decision for Ryst to host this has been green lighted. The final decision is up to a conference chat between White and Vince, but you can get your hopes up.

The server will be hosted in a powerful, 24/7 VPS with a 100 Mbps connection. The forums will be run on a copy of Invision Power Systems, and the website will be coded by me, all hosted in that VPS.

A new IRC channel in StormBit(irc.stormbit.net) will be opened. In fact, a temporary one is already open at #etstemp, so come in and familiarize with StormBit! Webchat

In exchange, Ryst would be lightly advertised in the server, forum and website, and a percentage of donations would be redirected to Ryst's reserves.

Like I said, this is not completely official, but you can be 98% sure this will happen.

For an ETA, I'd leave that part to Vince. He said he has exams and school work to finish. In our part, the VPS is ready to run. It's all up to Vince to set the server up, send it to us and get to action.

Thanks for pointing me here Vince, I'd seen the posts by Newera and co. but I hadn't noticed this thread. I'm pretty excited about this, as I'm sure you all are, and I'll be sure to create a new character (With the same name, of course) in order to explore this new land!

Dates and times would be useful, as well as where the new forums will be, since we're no longer going to be using these (or so I've read) and I must admit, I'm a little shy on the Ryst IRC at the moment.

I'm also wondering if you're going to be needing extra staff to get this all sorted out? I'm aware now probably isn't the best time to be asking, however it's always good to have a pre-organised staff team before going into a large venture like this.

Guys, do not worry about how you guys will be notified. There will be a topic posted in a threat (possibly general discussion, community support or off-topic), but do not worry, we will get the word out somehow.

We would put it in the actual server, but the server may not be up by then, but if they server is setup by this weekend, then I am sure vince and others will tell people in the server about it. Be sure to search here in the forums for sure though if you aren't notified about the server before ETS shuts down.
